People have an issue with homosexuality because...

So it isn't so much that they have an issue with homosexuality--they have an issue with sexuality in general. I realized that many folk feel guilty about sex. And maybe not even guilt, but definitely a sense of shame. I don't understand it frankly. Sex, rather good sex, is essential to living a happy and productive life.

Have you ever noticed how some people don't even think that sex is supposed to be pleasurable? I know some women who are just content in having sex. They don't know what an orgasm feels like or how to get comfortable with themselves. It does stem back to this idea that sex is bad, mostly taught by preachers who are getting it from every corner of the church.

What is so wrong with sex? Not just sex---what's wrong with getting pleasure from sex? I mean goodness gracious--if it ain't good, why have it?

  1. I've always held the notion that an individual who shows no interest in sex, in addition to feeling as though it is a naughty thing that only sinners do has either never had sex, or an orgrasm, or either at the same time, and for damn sure it's obvious they don't know what they're missing. In conclusion, I agree with you.

  2. Yep. This is why folks shame other people and call them 'sluts' when they have "more sex than they should"...or gods--enjoy it!

Insults for woman usually come down to two things--either whore or dyke.

  3. Hi Tamara,

In lots of ways this country is full of adults who act and sometimes think like children. They only talk about sex when talking about someone who they think is promiscuous or gay (like L above said).

I think it goes back to Victorian times and the sexual repression of people in general but women in particular.

  4. I agree with all of you. This is so interesting to me because in Victorian Times...they were getting sex from everywhere...men, women, both.

  5. I have no idea why folks are so scared to talk about sex or express themselves. If it wasn't for sex most of us wouldn't be here.
