Christmas Gifts

I know my girlfriend reads this blog, but hey, I surprise her all the time right in her face LOL. So what I am looking for are free Christmas Gift suggestions. I usually do something real elaborate for the holidays, but not this year. So do any of you have any suggestions? I am not really looking for an item, but I am looking at doing something.

  1. What about posting little notes around the house stating what you appreciate about her. Example could be, "I appreciate the way you smile at me" or "I appreciate the way you hold me in your arms"...and so forth. Sounds cute and free.

  2. What about making a list of things you appreciate about her? Call it something like "Your Gifts To Me." Do it in like powerpoint or something...

  3. You could do a scavenger hunt! Hide little notes in really weird places, and each note she finds has a clue for the next note. On the last note, you could tell her to drive somewhere at a certain time and you could be waiting for her. You better have something romantic planned after that; I'm sure you'd be in the doghouse if you made her do all that work to meet you at Walmart and turn around and go home. LOL

  4. Hey Tamara,

Great to see you this weekend. I have a good, nearly free idea for your girl. Grab an inexpensive, blank journal at an arts and crafts store and write all the things you love and have learned with her.

I did it once for my mom, and then for friends. It's worth more than any book or item you can purchase for your loved ones. And it costs about a dollar, and a quiet night alone to compose your thoughts.

  6. I think I'll put on or two of these into action if you don't mind Tamara?

I'm a habitual lurker trying to break out of it a little, lol but I follow your blog from time to time.

Take care and all the best with putting together that special gift!

  7. Sip: borrow away. let us know what you decide to do. after the fact of course. Don't want the blog to mess up any surprises.

Hmmm, is habitual lurking the same as stalking? ;-) Lol.

Comment as much or as little as you like.
It keeps it interesting for me. I've met people who are like, I read your blog all the time and I'm like, huh? So it's good. But I do like reading what others have to say.

  8. Stalking? Eeks! ...yeah kind of lol.

Whenever I'm with her my mind tends to scatter and I never remember any in sequence, so a journal of random things I love about her and have learned with her would be just right for me. :-)
